Fabio Capello has named John Terry as Englands permanent skipper..Capello had tried four different captains namely Terry, Ferdinand, Beckham and Gerrard..Although he tried four but it was widely believed that the race was between Terry and Ferdinand..Ferdinand who was tipped by many to win the armband had to be content with the post if Vice Captain..Even I thought that it would be Ferdinand but Iam glad i was wrong..
Terry was obviously delighted at Capello's decision..
He said "I think everybody realises it means the world to me.I was a little bit shocked to be fair. Rio has been in awesome form on the pitch for Man United in what he has achieved in the last year. And before that he has been fantastic.For me to get it above the likes of him and the other players in the squad means an awful lot to me"
Now after all the celebration the FA are frustrated..Come on now..frustrated??How can they question Terry's appointment..No doubt Ferdinand would have been a great leader as well..but now that Capello has announced his decision whats the use of the unease..Terry is a great leader and he has shown it..I whole heartedly agree with Capello's decision..
