Everton Hold Fort, The Top Eludes Us Again

EVERTON 0-0 CHELSEA
Horrible I must say..not the result, but the way it was produced..Given the circumstances this was a simple walkthrough..Everton, the team which has the worst home record, the team which has no recognized striker in their starting 11..against Chelsea, the team which has the best away record, the team which has more than 20 first team players available..
Scolari's mystical decision to keep Drogba on the bench for this one goes above me..I mean they are a team who dont have a proper striker, so they are bound to be defending..why not play both your strikers??Even more surprising was John Terry's act..What was he thinking??that was a straight red no doubts or excuses..In the entire match we had just the 1 solitary shot on goal..1 shot!!entire match..that speaks for the performance..with five world class midfielders you dont expect that..Frankly I think Deco needs a rest..he is nowhere near world class at the moment..Ballack and Lampard too were quiet..Mikel was great as usual, but his contribution is in defence and guarding the back four not attacking..Joe Cole was taken of to accomodate Ivanovic after Terry's blunder..Scolari isnt willing to give Drognelka a chance..God knows why??The biggest shock was Wayne Bridge coming on for Deco in the 87th minute..5 minutes left and Scolari is putting on a full back??With a chance to top the table I'd have gone all out this match..Chelsea were looking as if a draw was all they wanted..Scolari better get this going, or Roman will have him go back to Brazil..
Anyways what this draw has opened up a window for Manchester United to climb up..They have two games in hand and two wins would mean equal points for both of us..Liverpool Stay a point adrift after their draw with Arsenal..This really seems to be the trophy nobody wants..Arsenal seem to out of it already..Aston Villa have jumped into 3rd place..just 4 points behind..This time I really think there's going to be a new BIG four..Arsenal are in shambles..They've even lost their captain and playmaker for 3 months now...Anyways its West Brom and Fulham up next..two wins here might put the pursuit back on track..so lets hope for the best..
