It wasnt against a very strong team..It wasnt a very weakened Chelsea squad either..It was at STAMFORD BRIDGE..now that alone is reason enough to be shocked..The only unshocking thing was that Chelsea lost on penalties again..It's been six times(i guess) since Chelsea won a shootout..frankly games like this one dont need to go to the shootouts..leave aside the final whistle this one should have been over by half time..These are the sort of matches where you have everything to lose..if you win you arent going to get any praise..but if you lose you'll get loads of criticism..
Chelsea just came of a wonderful performance at the Ewood Park...looking back in form after the defeat to Roma..I thought this would be another one of those 3-0,4-0 routs...wasnt to be..This is a perfect example of hypercomplacency.. can't be anything else..and to top it of the Drogba incident..The goal he scored was quite beautiful but the celebration might cost him the next three games..but I agree with what Lampard says "It was quite human"..if the crowd were throwing dozens of coins at him, I dont see anything wrong in him throwing one back..and moreover he apologised later too...now with Anelka on this hot streak of his and Scolari continuing with a lone striker, such incidents better be avoided by Drogba..and Franco di Santo got injured in this match..for 3 weeks I think..
Dreams of the quadruple are over now..but I dont really mind that..even if Chelsea lose in the FA Cup..not a problem..just win the BPL and the UCL..I think the Premier League this season is going to be close..very close..both at the top and at the bottom too..right now theres just a 3 points seperating the bottom placed team from the top half..and that bottom placed team is the one Chelsea's facing this weekend..West Brom..now if we drop points here I'll start having serious doubts..a win..or rather, a resounding win is required..and it will come..Scolari wont allow too many slip ups..
