Ok now however reluctant I may seem about this I do have one point to talk about the International Break..Germany!! and Ballack in particular..now look at his performance there..awesome!!I wish he retains his form..I strongly feel Ballack isnt really given the proper position at Chelsea..because he's proven time and again he's a much better player than what he is right now..I feel Lampard and Ballack should both play a little more forward..ah well iam not Hiddink so no use..
Ok short post..I'll write the Newcastle Preview post in a few days..
***BLUE IS THE COLOUR***
Germany succumbed to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of traditional rivals England in Berlin..The result obviously dissappoints me..and moreover the absence of Michael Ballack..I wonder why he didn't play??I thought Low and him had sort of patched up..but then again the impact was clearly visible..The Lack of both Ballack and Frings seems to have hurt Germany bad..for Frings I have no sympathy..You cant just go against the Coach..Ballack had apologised..perhaps he was rested..Anyways another talking point of the match was John Terry..What a game he had..from Zero to Hero..Germany scored the one goal which was Terry and Carsons fault..but then he redeemed himself by scoring one..the only other Chelsea player playing was Wayne Bridge about whose performance I don't know much..
In other matches, Brazil thrashed Potugal 6-2!!:-0:-0..Well Done Dunga..Holland beat Sweden 3-1..France manged a 0-0 draw with Uruguay..I still don't know why they're persisting with Domenech..Spain beat Chile 3-0..and Argentina beat Scotland 1-0..So Maradona has made a winning start..I still dont thing he'd make a good trainer..anyways you never know with a player like him..he is sure to improve the mental aspect of the Argentine team..Best Of Luck Diego..
Ok now the preview..Chelsea play Newcastle at home this week...why home??I've started liking away games more..in my view this should be an easy 2-0 win..Newcastle are a good team..but on the wrong track..Lampard will i think sit this one out after he missed Englands friendly due to a Rib Injury...I think Belleti will play the holding midfielders role..with Mikel..or perhaps even Miniero could come on as a sub..Drogba has been banned for three matches so no questions up front..Even if Drogba would have been present I'd have chosen Anelka..you just can't ignore his current form..Malouda has been the poorest of Chelsea performers in the recent weeks and I'd like to see Scott Sinclair get his place..esp in the second half if we're in a comfortable postion..Ok I'll leave the rest to Felipao..:-D
Germany produced a breathtaking first half display as they narrowly held on to beat Russia in their World Cup qualifying campaign..The German captain Michael Ballack and Lukas Podolski found the net in the first half to put the game beyond the Russians..although Arshavin pulled one back early in the second it wasnt enough..so with the win Germany return to the top of their Group..Now to the Kuranyi news..He left the match and went home!!no..seriously what was he thinking...Low said that he will never consider him for international duty again..Now Kuranyi seems to have been frustrated by the lack of opportunities..but their is one thing he has to realise he simply isntone of the two best strikers in the German team..Klose is untouchable..he is unselfish forms a great partnership with Podolski..Poldi on the other hand is slightly selfish (perhaps thats why Klose and him form such a good pair..) but he and Klose have gelled very well together and perhaps thats what keeping Mario Gomez out of the team..Gomez was given his chances in the Euro's where he was nothing short of disastrous..but i feel he'll remain a part of the team..
Meanwhile their were wins for England,Spain,Brazil and Argentina..England and Brazil produced a magnificent display and trounced Kazhakistan and Venezuela respectively by 5-1 and 4-0 scorelines..France recovered from two goals down to level the game at 2-2..according to me the only thing stopping French football at this time is Raymond Domench..while Zidane was their he handled situations..but now having lost their best player and influential captain they are abound to suffer under such a trainer..
Ok lets start..Frankly i didnt watch any of these matches so my reviews is simply based on the highlights and news..
First My favourite..
GERMANY 2-0 BELGIUM
Germany continues their impressive performance with a two goal win over Belgium..2nd Half goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sub Marco Marin sealed the game for the Germans..Schweinsteiger was again as lively as ever and created a lot of opportunities..Sadly Michael Ballack didnt play because of his ankle knock..
ENGLAND 2-2 CZECH REPUBLIC
Another lacklustre performance from England..England were heading straight for defeat but Joe Cole levelled the score in the last minute..Milan Baros and Marek Jankulovski had scored for the Czechs, meanwhile Wes Brown got one from a David Beckham corner..Capello will definitely
Now the other results in Fast Forward..Spain handsomely overcome Denmark with a 3-0 victory..Two of those three goals came from Xabi Alonso and Xavi added the third..France came from behind two beat Sweden 3-2..Govou got 2 goals and the last one was scored by Karim Benzema..Austria and Italy battled to a draw with the former scoring 4 goals(2 own goals) and Italy none...Meanwhile Portugal put 5 past Faroe Islands..Russia and Holland settled for a 1-1 draw..
And another news..Mikael Silvestre who was being closely linked with Manchester City was shockingly signed by ARSENAL..Wenger is supposed to have hijacked the deal at the last moment and secured the French Internationals signatures..Silvesere signed a 2 year contract...
