Opportunity Squandered,Is This Stamford Bridge??

Hard to digest isnt it??All of the top 4 get draws for the second time in 3 week..This was a real opportunity for Chelsea to go top of the table..After this result Chelsea have only 3 out of their 9 home matches this season..tell that to a person who hasn't seen any football this season and he'll not stop laughing..Ok we have a great 100% away record but to no use..the dismal home run has wiped out all its advantage..Even Stoke City have won more Home Games than Chelsea..I really dont understand the problem..If you can go and beat the hell out of teams in their backyard what wrong with yor own..Scolari has said its due to 'lack of space' in home games because of defensve tactics employed by the travelling teams..but thats been the case for about past 3 seasons..I think Scolari has a job on his hands..he needs to sort out this home mess or we arent winning anything this season..so far I'd rate Scolari's management as average..
In the match Chelsea had 0 shots on target in the first half..ZERO shots on target..thats not what you expect from any team at their home..Drogba's introduction after the interval made a visible difference..I think he needs to start for Chelsea to add that variation to our sterotype attack..the goal came courtesey some wonderful work by Lampard, and Anelka..well he wouldnt miss such chances, not when he's on a streak like this..We should have had that late penalty for the foul on Lampard..Even Neill agreed about the contact..and then late on Cech made the important save from Carlton Cole..that was slack defending, I can already imagine a Rooney or a Eto'o celebrating after a chance like that..I would say all the three substitutions made were inaccurate..Deco should have gone of instead of Ballack..Mikel is a sort of player who should play all 90 minutes, so Joe Cole's substitution should have brought on Belleti and Kalou should have stayed on the bench..The past two months have been very ordinary for Chelsea with 3 home defeats..The level of football has been nowhere near the standard required..the reason we are still near the top is because of the good start and poor performance of the rivals..
Meanwhile Barcelona gave a the new Madrid boss Juande Ramos a nice welcome back by inflicting a 2-0 defeat on the Madrid Giants..Barcelona are the team to beat this season..They are the strongest contenders for both the La Liga and the Champions League..but I'd still want a Chelsea vs Barcelona in the round of 16..Bayern on the other hand went into the Christmas break second in the table behind Hoffenhiem after both teams drew..and Juventus beat AC Milan 4-2 to make the Serie A a two horsed race..

Chelsea Vs West Ham,The Legend Returns

He's coming back to the Bridge..Arguably Chelsea's best player ever..The magical number 25 who scored countless goals for CFC..GIANFRANCO ZOLA!!Although he's supposed to be against Chelsea in this match, I feel he will(and should) get a huge ovation..the best thing about him is that his smile never fades..it intensifies when he wins but it never goes off..
Now that the tribute to Zola is over lets get down the match..I think Scolari will be tempeted to start both Anelka and Drogba in this match..and perhaps Kalou might drop to the bench..Another boost here will be the availability of Frank Lampard..so I guess Ballack or Mikel might lose his place in midfield..Ballack is my favourite player ever, but I still dont want Mikel to be dropped..he has been phenomenal this season..Carvalho is still a doubt..He is really required..not only does he himself play better than Alex and Ivanovic but his presence alongside seems to get the best of Terry as well..and Alex has declared that he wants to leave Chelsea..????He's played so many games this season..and missed some more because of his own injury..still..but then Chelsea have offered a straight denial..West Ham have been playing impressive football lately..esp Craig Bellamy..he's the dangerman..but I dont think they'll make us pant too much..should be another easy 2-0 win..
Meanwhile Juande Ramos has been appointed as Real Madrid's new Manager..There are question marks over his appointment but I feel he's the right person..and he doesnt need to wait long for his biggest test..El Classico away..with Barca in such a great form,I guess Ramos needs to produce something brilliant to make it happen..Well Lets see what happens..iam hoping for a Real win or a draw..Valencia fan..:-)
