Premier League Round Up - Week 2

First of all one sad news..Andriy Shevchenko has moved back to Milan..I don't really blame him he never really settled in the Premier League..all the best to him for the future..
Now the results..And a what a week we've had this time..Iam having second thoughts about making predictions next time..
Wigan Athletic 0-1 Chelsea
Thank God..was what I said when I heard the final whistle..I thought we were heading for another rout when Deco's fantastic free-kick just flew past the Wigan goalkeeper..but then Wigan came back so strongly, testing Cech on numerous occasions..For me Cech was the player of the Game..The performance wasnt as impressive as last week but it was exactly what I wanted to see..Chelsea need to win matches..be it their new samba style or the old gritty one which they displayed yesterday..With this win Chelsea remain on the top of the table followed by Liverpool..

Liverpool 2-1 Middlesbrough
Liverpool are the only team besides Chelsea who have won both their opening fixtures..and 70 minutes into the match it never looked likely..After a goalless first half,Middlesbrough opened the scoring in the 70th minute when substiture Mido hit an unstoppable shot straight past Reina into the bottom corner..Just when it was beggining to look all over for the home side..Carraghers powerfull deflected shot flew into the net..An Liverpool were not done yet..In the 89th minute of the game Liverpool captain hit an absolute rocket from the edge of the area which flied into the top corner..

Fulham 1-0 Arsenal
Alright the biggest upset so for..Fulham who were beaten by Hull last week have pulled out the result of their dreams..Brede Hangeland scored the first goal for the homeside of a Jimmy Bullard corner..Arsenal did have a few chances but couldnt capitalize on them and paid the price..Dropping points early in the season was not what Arsenal had wanted..Van Persie's poor finishing was the major culprit in their shock defeat..

Portsmouth vs Manchester United

now quickly moving to the others..
Newcastle 1-0 Bolton (Tight match,Nolan Misses penalty)
Tottenham 1-2 Sunderland (Sunderland were desered winners here, sorry spurs you need to improve)
Blackburn 1-1 Hull (Gritty display by hull to steal away a point)
Stoke 3-2 Aston Villa (I predicted this to be a rout, and what a slap on my face..well done stoke)
West Brom 1-2 Everton (Good display by Everton)
Manchester City 3-0 West Ham (Another slap on my face..Man City were sensational..)
