UCL Matchday 1,Chelsea Trounce Bordeaux

Champions League action started this tuesday with Chelsea facing Bordeaux at Stamford Bridge..As was expected we thrashed them..Frank Lampard again was the player of the game..He is in completely sublime form..Chelsea started with the exactly same squad that beat City last weekend..I liked Terry's and Carvalho's performance..These two undoubtedly form the best central defensive pair in Europe..and now Bosingwa..what a find..really what a find..he hasnt played badly even once since joining Chelsea..He moves forward so well and his crosses..ooh..Ashley Cole and Jose Bosingwa perhaps the best wingback pair in Europe as well..In the midfield Lampard hogged all the limelight..but Mikel I guess was very good as well..Deco was average but everyone has an offday..Ballack came on in the second half an played considerably well..I really want him to play against Man Utd this weekend..afterall he was the one who starred in this fixture last season..moving on Joe Cole was at his usual best..and even Malouda gave in a spirited and determined performance..Anelka got the last goal but still I think he needs to improve..He is great at making runs and recieving the ball but as Scolari says he has lost the confidence in him which is affecting his finishing...

Elsewhere Steven Gerrard's brace(what a goal..the first one i.e) help Liverpool see off a above ordianary Marseille side..Arsenal drew 1-1 with Dinamo Keiv,Manchester United 0-0 Villareal..they really are struggling..and Chelsea would add more misery to it by a landslide win on Sunday..My favourite team(besides Chelsea) Bayern Munich beat Steau 1-0...The biggest upset was definitely CFR Cluj Beating the Roma..woah..
